How to clean microfiber furniture

Can I just say how much I *love* DIY cleaners? Not only are they cheaper than store cleaners, they usually have less chemicals! I have been researching for some time on the best way to clean microfiber furniture. It's a bit tricky because you can't use normal fabric cleaners on that type of cloth. After seeing something on Pinterest(I can't find the original pin...sorry!) I decided to give rubbing alcohol a try! Yep, that's right, just plain ol' rubbing alcohol.

The instructions were to spray on the fabric, then use a white, clean, kitchen sponge to scrub. The purpose of the sponge being white is so the color won't transfer to your couch, chair, or whatever it is that you are cleaning, however I could not find a white sponge anywhere! So I used this one:

It's an "all natural" sponge(meaning no dyes).  And it worked fine! I have a dark colored sofa though, so you may want to spot check to be sure.

Here's a close up of before:

This is actually from one of the matching pillows, the couch itself wasn't quite as dirty, but it worked great! I used a good bit of alcohol, and because it dries quickly I had to work in small sections. My furniture set is 3 years old and now it looks brand new!
After:

I need new couch pillows...

Looks brand new!
