Happy Fourth of July!

Hope everyone is having a great holiday! Today goodwill had a 50% off sale, so I managed to score an awesome dresser for my bedroom for only $40!

This thing was solid wood and majorly heavy... we had to take the drawers out!

Zebra slippers and dog hair... just keepin' it real!

The dresser was in amazing condition- no damage, no weird smells, no stains... but for some reason the previous owner had decided to put faux marbled contact paper across the top. Not really sure what they were thinking!

But it peeled off easily, leaving me with this!

I knew I had a winner when I saw this:

I am so excited about this dresser I wanted to start painting it today! Unfortunately, we've had near non-stop rain here in "sunny florida" for the past few weeks! What gives?

I'm really loving the idea of a black top, crisp white bottom, and some shiny black updated hardware! Now if this rain would just clear up I could get started!
